System Support

Supporting Equipment for Ozone Generator Systems

Oxygen supply, gas preparation, flow control, measurement, cooling and off-gas handling for piped-output ozone systems. These items support the core ozone generator; they are not positioned as a separate core product line.

System Architecture

From feed gas to residual-ozone management

The supporting equipment is selected around a controlled piped-output ozone generator and the actual process conditions.

1. Feed Gas

Prepared dry air, a compact oxygen concentrator or a project-sized PSA oxygen source.

2. Prepare & Control

Filtration, drying, pressure regulation, pumps and gas-flow control.

3. Generate Ozone

A defined-inlet, defined-outlet generator or OEM ozone module matched to the operating point.

4. Apply & Verify

Process injection, gas-phase measurement, monitoring and off-gas destruction where required.

How It Fits

Equipment selected around the ozone generator

A reliable ozone system is more than a discharge cell and power supply. Feed-gas purity and dryness, gas flow, cooling, measurement and residual-gas management can all change output, concentration, stability and service life.

O₂

1. Prepare the feed gas

Choose prepared dry air, an oxygen concentrator or a project-sized PSA oxygen unit according to required concentration, flow and duty cycle.

2. Control gas flow

Pumps, flow meters, regulators and compatible tubing establish the operating point seen by the ozone-generation cell.

°C

3. Control temperature

Air cooling is simple for suitable smaller duties. Water cooling is normally considered for larger output, long duty cycles or warm environments.

O₃

4. Verify and manage ozone

Gas-phase measurement, process monitoring and off-gas destruction help confirm performance and support safer system integration.

Oxygen Supply

Oxygen concentrators and PSA oxygen generator units

Oxygen Concentrators

Complete compact units with compressor, molecular sieve, controls, enclosure and oxygen outlet. Suitable when a defined standard oxygen flow can be supplied directly to a small or medium ozone generator.

  • Confirm oxygen flow and purity
  • Confirm outlet pressure and connection
  • Confirm voltage, duty cycle and ambient conditions
  • Match flow to the generator’s concentration curve

PSA Oxygen Generator Units

Project-sized oxygen supply or OEM assemblies for higher flow, continuous operation and equipment integration. Compressor, air treatment, buffer tank and controls may be selected as part of the complete system.

  • Define normal and peak oxygen demand
  • State required pressure and operating hours
  • Confirm dew point and upstream air treatment
  • Allow for redundancy and maintenance access
Output comparison: Unless a product states otherwise, our nominal ozone output refers to oxygen feed under stated test conditions. With prepared dry air, output may be around one fifth under otherwise comparable conditions. Increasing gas flow can raise mass output in some operating ranges, but it also reduces ozone concentration, which may be unsuitable for concentration-sensitive processes.
Pumps & Flow Control

Set a stable and repeatable gas operating point

Air Pumps

Used where the ozone generator or downstream injector does not provide the required gas movement. Selection depends on flow, pressure, ozone-side isolation, duty cycle and installation conditions.

Gas Flow Meters

Indicate or regulate the feed-gas flow used for output and concentration comparison. The gas type, range, accuracy, pressure and connection must be stated.

Oxygen Flow Regulation

Regulators, valves, flow meters, filters, tubing and fittings can be supplied as a matched assembly for a defined ozone-generator inlet condition.

Venturi & Process Conditions

A venturi may create suction, but the available vacuum and back pressure still need to be checked against the generator, check valve and process piping.

Ozone Measurement

Verify gas output and process performance

Gas-phase Ozone Analyzers

The main measurement category for this website. Used for piped-output generators, oxygen-feed systems, OEM development and equipment testing.

  • Typical units: ppm, mg/L and g/Nm³
  • Confirm range, sampling method and pressure
  • Specify continuous or spot measurement
  • State whether a calibration certificate is required

Dissolved Ozone & ORP Monitoring

Used after ozone is transferred into water. Dissolved ozone measures ozone residual directly, while ORP is a broader process indicator and is not a direct replacement for a dissolved-ozone measurement.

These instruments are considered as part of water-treatment process design rather than a major standalone product line here.

Measurement note: A g/h rating, gas concentration and gas flow describe different aspects of performance. Meaningful validation requires the test condition, feed gas, temperature, pressure and sampling method.
Drying, Cooling & Off-gas

Protect performance and complete the gas path

Refrigerated & Adsorption Drying

Prepared-air systems require suitable filtration and moisture control. Dryer type is selected from required dew point, flow, inlet temperature, pressure and operating pattern.

Air Cooling

Simple installation without cooling-water piping or a circulation tank. Best suited to appropriate smaller output and duty cycles in a controlled ambient temperature.

Water Cooling

Considered for higher output, continuous operation and warmer environments. Cooling-water temperature, flow, quality, tank size and heat rejection must be defined.

Ozone Off-gas Destruction

Used where unreacted ozone leaves a contact tank or process. Capacity, gas flow, humidity, temperature and expected inlet concentration determine the configuration.

Why cooling matters: Ozone decomposes more quickly as temperature rises. Cooling selection therefore affects achievable output, ozone concentration, stability and component life—not only installation convenience.
