How does ozone generators work?

1. Electrical ozone generators:

The formation of ozone is enabled by molecular oxygen breaking down into atomic oxygen. 2. Ultraviolet light ozone generators:
The wavelength of ultraviolet light in the range 160-240 nanometers (nm) can produce ozone when it encounters oxygen. Under UV light, oxygen molecules are disrupted and divided into two oxygen atoms, as happens during a corona discharge. Ozone is formed by combining free atoms with oxygen molecules.
UV ozone generators produce ozone by passing oxygen through the quartz sleeve between the lamp and the UV light. A venturi then draws the ozone into the water as the water treatment process begins. UV ozone generators, however, produce ozone at a lower concentration than electrical ozone generators.
